Smock alot

As ive been creating the repeat patterns, its important to see how once smocked they create there own pattern once pleated and folded into smocks.these photographs are of paper versions to get a feel of how they may look like on printed fabric.
The thing that is interesting once all smocked together is the colour and pattern are all equal on every smock.
Once the smock is joined together and twisted and looked at from different angles it creates a different effect and the pattern changes.

The great Victorian era

The last couple of months have been dark and long this has made focus on my drawing ready to put a new collection of interior furnishings together.
My drawings stem into repeats which are digital printed
The material that im currently printing on to is cotton poplin and linen.
Im planning to branch out into more cotton based material in the next week or so and make 3D forms with the material that is printed. These 3D forms will then be applied onto an interior object.
